A PRELUDE

As a prelude to our many future Tech. Thoughts we must give you prior warning that many of these Postings may not be overly technical.

Remember that our overarching Focus of Purpose is to accelerate global “retrofits” to “aged” buildings by the shut-down of fossil fuel boilers for Zero Emissions.

But, this is becoming more difficult. Even as the need increases to attain GHG = 0 by elimination of all solid fuels + oil & gas to input boilers, there is the concurrent funding challenge for “Adaptation” around these buildings that becomes an increasing imperative of the Property insurers to de-risk against fire & flood.

All government budgets in the OECD richest countries are becoming over-stretched to allocate sufficient financial funding to meet both of these two challenges of Mitigation AND Adaptation.

Our posit is that there is no country that can politically redirect enough taxpayer funding to subsidise BOTH of these urgent challenges….and especially, with fast climate deadlines approaching, it is necessary to avoid the long “time-lag” for government policy developments to create “guard-rail” regulations to safeguard taxpayer funds regarding Building Mitigation Applications.

For a Decarb. Mitigation strategy on “aged” buildings, we see the imperative for non-government 3rd Party investment finance as the “Ways & Means” to accelerate the objective for Zero Emissions.

It should not be forgotten that it is forecast that for the over 3 million Commercial & Historic existing “aged” buildings in the UK, greater than 85% of these buildings are expected to remain in current occupation & usage for at least a further 50 years….and each one shall require heating & dehumidification (mould prevention) plus much else to future-proof IEQ/IAQ across the decades ahead.

Heat Pump technology is LONG proven with current reputable manufacturers able to supply reliable H.P. equipment to exacting specifications for both efficient performance & durability.

The reason that many RETROFIT projects have failed to live up to expectations stem directly from lack of diligence to prepare a precise on-site Survey for preDesign Analysis.  This is mandatory to achieve an “Optimised & BESPOKE” retrofit installation for each “aged” building.

A meticulous Retrofit installation in compliance to a meticulous Holistic System Design in compliance to a meticulous Surveyed preDesign Analysis is 3rd Party indemnified to deliver the claimed Optimised performance.

This  Triple-Validated System performance delivers the Trust & Certainty for private sector Finance participation, as a win-win-win for all the Stakeholders.

The Power Utility Co. wins financially by Demand Side Management plus Peak Load avoidance; the Decarb. Finance Investor wins financially by an assured fixed return (validated metering) throughout a 5-7year contract tenor; and the property Owner/Operator wins financially by a “Nil up-front cost Decarb. retrofit” (until a re-fi/buy option at contract expiry) and 100% Ownership (with 15 year Warranty).. .

……PLUS a significant Operator “bespoke” BENEFIT  that can be integrated within the Holistic Heat Pump System…..most frequently for purity of IAQ for Health & Safety future-proofing immuno-suppressed occupants (young & elderly convalescents) ahead of the next virus pandemic.
